Transdyn, Inc. is an industry leading systems integrator, providing Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems and Advanced Traffic Management Systems (ATMS) to customers in the environmental, transportation and utility markets. We are currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer to participate in current and future projects delivered from our Pleasanton, CA location. A Project Engineer will contribute directly as a project team member or may on occasion perform all engineering activities for smaller projects.
In this position, you will participate in full life-cycle project delivery including sales support, design, procurement, implementation, commissioning, testing and training. Projects generally consist of multiple systems and subsystems communicating via LAN/WAN or low speed data lines with a variety of third party systems and software packages. SCADA projects include PLCs, RTUs and other intelligent devices communicating over copper, fiber or wireless to centralized monitoring and control locations. ATMS subsystems include Variable Message Signs, CCTV, RTUs, PLCs, Traffic Controllers, and cable-based and wireless communications systems.
The ideal candidate will have formal engineering education combined with 5+ years of experience in the design, installation and testing of integrated control systems. Experience should include PLC programming, HMI configuration, SCADA software graphics and database development, control panel design and communications system implementation. Experience with Allen-Bradley and Modicon PLCs is preferred. A four-year degree in an engineering or science curriculum is required. Professional certification is a plus.
