Transdyn, Inc. is an industry leading systems integrator, providing Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems and Advanced Traffic Management Systems (ATMS) to customers in the environmental, transportation and utility markets. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to participate in current and future projects delivered from our Pleasanton, CA location. A Senor Project Engineer will contribute directly as a project team member, may lead a project team in performance of assigned projects.
In this position, you will participate in and lead full life-cycle project delivery including sales support, design, procurement, implementation, commissioning, testing and training. Projects generally consist of multiple systems and subsystems communicating via LAN/WAN or low speed data lines with a variety of third party systems and software packages. SCADA projects include PLCs, RTUs and other intelligent devices communicating over copper, fiber or wireless to centralized monitoring and control locations. ATMS subsystems include Variable Message Signs, CCTV, RTUs, PLCs, Traffic Controllers, and cable-based and wireless communications systems.
The ideal candidate will have formal engineering education combined with 10+ years of experience in the design, installation and testing of integrated control systems. Experience should include ITS and/or control system design, configuration development, integration, testing and documentation. Position requires a practical, working knowledge of digital computer, LAN/WAN networking, telecommunication, traffic management and/or environmental process control technologies. A four-year degree in an engineering or science curriculum is required. Professional certification is a plus.
