Transdyn Selected to Provide Process Automation Systems for Three Athens-Clarke County Wastewater Treatment Facilities
November 10, 2009-- Transdyn has been awarded contracts to provide process automation systems for the Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County’s (ACC) North Oconee, Cedar Creek, and Middle Oconee Water Reclamation Facilities.
The new computer systems at each plant will be used by personnel to monitor and control facility-wide programmable logic controllers (PLCs), field instruments, and plant processes. The systems will allow ACC to reduce maintenance and training costs and more efficiently return quality water to area waterways.
Located in Athens, GA, the ACC Public Utilities Department's Wastewater Treatment Section ensures that water used in homes, businesses, and organizations throughout the County is safely recycled.
