Transdyn Selected To Expand Proctors Creek WWTP SCADA System

February 15, 2010 -- Transdyn was recently awarded a contract to expand the existing SCADA system for Chesterfield County, VA’s Proctors Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant. The expansion will tie in the plant’s BNR (Biological Nutrient Removal) process into the system used by operators to manage the wastewater treatment facilities. The expanded system will enable the County to more closely comply with environmental regulations and monitor and control plant operations such as methanol and polymer removal, non-potable water and gas system alarm stations.

Transdyn is delivering field and control center hardware along with PLC, HMI, and operator interface terminals configuration. Testing, training, documentation and startup services will also be provided to the County. Improved reporting capabilities needed for generating monthly reports will be fully integrated with the County’s central database.

Both of the County’s wastewater treatment plants, Proctors Creek and Falling Creek, are managed by Transdyn’s DYNAC SCADA software for data acquisition, process automation, event logging, data management, trending, and reporting.

The plants employ state-of-the-art technology to treat roughly 27 million gallons of wastewater per day and provide service to nearly 76,000 customers in the southeastern regions of Chesterfield County, VA.
