January 30, 2009 -- Transdyn has been selected to expand the Traffic Management System for Section 18 of the Cross Israel Highway (CIH), the largest infrastructure project ever to be constructed in Israel. The Highway diverts traffic to the central region of the country, thus reducing vehicle density and pollution in the greater Tel Aviv region.
Configuration of existing databases and new DYNAC® graphics to accommodate travel time integration for two new Section 18 gantry locations will be provided by Transdyn. Existing DYNAC® Graphical User Interface (GUI) screens will be upgraded and displays for new equipment and functions will be developed.
Transdyn designed, built, and supports the Traffic Management System (TMS) for the $1.1 billion, all-electronic Cross Israel Highway. Managed by Transdyn’s DYNAC ATMS® (Advanced Traffic Management System) software, the TMS allows personnel in the Highway Operations and Management Center (HOMC) to provide highway surveillance, real-time traffic monitoring, incident and congestion detection, incident management, ramp monitoring, and disseminate motorist advisory information. The TMS also provides traffic control at signalized interchanges that are integrated with the system.
