May 22, 2008-- Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) has awarded Transdyn a contract to upgrade the existing DYNAC Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) System for the Skyway train. The system monitors power distribution, station fire, security, and track switches.
Transdyn will upgrade the SCADA servers, workstations, network, and peripheral equipment located at the Operations Control Center. Configuration, testing, training, and documentation will also be provided. The new system will enable the Authority to take advantage of the latest DYNAC features and improve operational efficiency.
The automated JTA Skyway provides riders with easy access to their workplace, hotels, restaurants, and entertainment venues in downtown Jacksonville offering downtown patrons and employees a low cost and convenient travel option.
