Towngas provides safe and clean fuel to the people of Hong Kong. Founded in 1862, the Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (also known as Towngas) is the oldest public utility in Hong Kong, and the first gas utility in the Far East. Today, Towngas produces and distributes gas, markets gas and gas appliances, and supplies town gas (manufactured gaseous fuel) and related services.

The Towngas supply network extends over 3,000 kilometres, covering 85 percent of Hong Kong’s households and serving over 1.6 million households and businesses in Hong Kong. Transdyn was selected to design, supply, and commission the original DYNAC® system for the Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited and recently upgraded the computer system to the DYNAC ES version.
