Owner:
Los Alamos National Laboratory
Location:
Los Alamos, NM
Project Description:
Los Alamos National Laboratory is a Department of Energy (DOE) laboratory managed by the University of California. Located in Northern New Mexico, Los Alamos works to provide national security. The Laboratory applies its experience in defense science and technologies to ensure the safety and reliability of nuclear weapons and to protect our nation against terrorist attacks involving radiation, chemicals, biological organisms, and the disruption of crucial infrastructures.
Transdyn delivered an Intelligent Video System, a video database interface system and electronic signs for the Los Alamos National Laboratory institution. Managed by Transdyn's DYNAC ATMSĀ® software, the system remotely monitors Laboratory facilities and property through the use of smart video analytics. Information is provided to personnel via dynamic message signs located at strategic roadway intersections throughout the lab's facilities. This allows appropriate action be taken during security threats, conditions of inclement weather or fire danger, and traffic congestion ensuring the safety of LANL workers and the general public in LANL work areas or Los Alamos County.
