The Pleasant Grove Wastewater Treatment Plant of Roseville, CA provides the highest level of waste treatment to more than 30,000 residential customers in South Placer County. The new $100 million plant is designed to treat up to twelve million gallons per day. Together with the existing Dry Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant, the Pleasant Grove facility will serve the rapidly growing Roseville community.
Transdyn provided a fully automatic and mission-critical DYNAC® control system using redundant servers, distributed workstations, high-availability routers and switches, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) interfaced via a plant-wide Ethernet LAN. The system provides the City with fully integrated treatment process control as well as facility video surveillance, remote dial-up networking, automatic off-site paging services, and data warehousing.
A wide area network interfaces the Pleasant Grove WWTP LAN with the existing Dry Creek WWTP LAN, allowing full control of both facilities from any single workstation. The integration of both facilities allows the City to maximize operating efficiency by staffing the Pleasant Grove WWTP only during normal business hours, and provides remote monitoring and control capabilities from the Dry Creek WWTP during night and weekend hours.
The Dry Creek WWTP control system consists of redundant servers running DYNAC® distributed workstations and high-availability routers and switches interfaced to PLCs distributed throughout the plant.
