New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc.(NUMMI) is the joint venture of General Motors Corporation and Toyota Motor Corporation. In 1984, the company was created in Fremont, California, and has helped change the automobile industry by introducing the Toyota Production System and a teamwork-based working environment to the United States. NUMMI employees 5,500 team members who produce the Toyota Corolla, Toyota Tacoma and Pontiac Vibe.
